OPEN Finance recently partnered with The Center for Anti-Violence (CAE) for a career development workshop for CAE’s peer educators, a first for CAE.

The workshop was attended by a group of passionate young women aged between 13 and 20, each of them training to be self-defense educators and public advocates for their communities. The volunteers were part of OPEN Finance’s women’s initiative, which aims to promoting the visibility of LBT women in finance and professional services.

Kindly hosted by Deloitte at 30 Rockefeller Center, the workshop provided an opportunity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer and ally leaders in the financial industry to offer resume building and interview skills as well as insights into the challenges and rewards of their own personal careers. Special thanks go to Marion Regnier from PwC and Fleur Edwards from Nomura – leads for OPEN Finance’s women’s initiative – and to Veronica Henry from Deloitte, co-chair of OPEN Finance’s community service committee, and Deloitte’s business resource group Globe & Allies for sponsoring the workshop.
